Standard configuration includes a built-in platinum wire counter electrode and a silver/silver chloride reference electrode (a non‑mercury‑based reference electrode is also available for non‑aqueous systems). The working electrode is sold separately; a versatile Ø5 mm GC disk electrode is recommended. The disk working electrode can serve as a current collector, making it suitable for mounting user‑supplied working samples such as carbon paper or nickel foam.
